BTS‘s RM recently greeted ARMYs through a Weverse livestream, where he chatted about his upcoming album, gave life advice, sang along to ARMYs’ fanmade song “Love Letters,” and opened up about BTS’s future plans and the highly anticipated reunion in 2025.
In June 2022, BTS announced they would be taking a temporary break from group activities as the members prepare for their mandatory military enlistment and focus on their solo activities.
With their announcement came the promise that the members would come back together after completing their military service, with the hope of reuniting in 2025.
The group members have continued to show their support for one another and get together when their schedules allow.
BTS’s Jin and J-Hope, who are currently serving in the military, even took vacation time to attend Suga‘s final SUGA | Agust D “D-DAY” concert in Seoul.
Shortly after his final concert, BIGHIT MUSIC confirmed that Suga withdrew his military enlistment postponement request and would be reporting to his military duties once called upon.
RM took the Weverse livestream as an opportunity to again assure fans that even while the members are away, they’ve planned for ways to engage with ARMYs and make sure that BTS’s love is continued to be felt by fans.
After listening to the ARMY-made song “Love Letter,” RM shared his gratitude for fans and heartwarmingly opened up about the group’s feelings surrounding their 2025 reunion.
You know, our songs and our solo projects could be another reminder to you guys of how important ARMY was, has been, and will be in our lives at the same time… how many ARMYs and how [much] love is actually waiting for the reunion in 2025. So I definitely feel that and even though we’re doing our solos on our own… what I’m thinking right now is- these days when I’m doing my solo projects- this is just like a vacation to get back to where I was, which is BTS and ARMY.

He again clarified what the group had stated all along, that the solo projects are a necessary part of BTS’s journey and chapter two, but that it has all been part of the journey toward their 2025 reunion.
So, all the solos are just a journey, but a very improtant journey for chapter two. It’s a journey to get back home safe, eventually, when we get back and reunite together in 2025. So thanks for making this song and supporting and [for] the love. I swear that I’ve never taken this enormous love for granted in my whole life and I will be the same in the future. And, you know, I guess- no, I can bet, all the other members would feel the same.
