When Ahn Hyo Seop isn’t working on set, the famous actor doesn’t skip out on his workouts. As a result of his daily exercises, he’s gained abs and arm muscles that left fans shook. But for his latest role in Netflix‘s A Time Called You, they caused an unexpectedly funny mishap.
During an interview with his co-stars Jeon Yeo Been and Kang Hoon, Ahn Hyo Seop was asked about any difficulties he faced when filming his character’s monologue to Jun Hee (played by Jeon Yeo Been). While it could’ve been challenging for him to remember so many lines, that wasn’t the problem he encountered. Instead, Ahn Hyo Seop answered, “The lying position.”
After Jeon Yeo Been folded her arm and laid her head on it, Ahn Hyo Seop was expected to do the same as his character delivered a romantic monologue. It went a bit differently. Making Kang Hoon and Jeon Yeo Been laugh, Ahn Hyo Seop explained, “I was bulking up back then, so my arm wouldn’t fold.”
Ahn Hyo Seop’s arm muscles were so big that he could only bend them slightly, not enough to mirror Jeon Yeo Been’s movements. Still, he remained a professional by hiding it the best way he could and making it look natural.
Even in Netflix’s close-up images of the scene, you can see Ahn Hyo Seop’s arm not being able to bend but making it look intentional.
See the cast laugh about Ahn Hyo Seop’s funny mishap in the romantic scene.
